Bio

Logan Pitts is an NYC-based director, performer, and collaborative artist in theater, music, film, opera, and dance. As an interdisciplinary storyteller, Logan employs holistic, multifaceted perspectives to cultivate creative spaces as innovative conduits for cultural paradigms. (Whew! What a sentence!)

With a lifelong passion for satire and the fantastical, he specializes in bringing to life all that is strange and wonderful—clever and remarkable— unearthing joy and adventure in queer and marginalized narratives. Standing at 6 feet and 6 inches, a natural leader with extensive experience, Logan is obsessed with creating radically fun, zany, inclusive, people-forward environments for collaboration as service to the art.

Logan’s collective work has been featured Off-Broadway and prestigious venues, including Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall. Notable projects in his directorial portfolio include serving as the Assistant Director at NYSAF for the development of 'The Chevalier', directing 'BARBECUE' for the conservatory at SUNY Purchase, and helming 'Paradise Blue' at Gloucester Stage Company. Logan has also demonstrated his versatility as Dramaturg/AD for ‘REPARATIONS’ at GSC, and by choreographing a new operetta titled 'ALICE' at The Tank. In 2020, Logan took on the role of Guest-Artist-in-Residence at Vassar College, pioneering new forms of virtual and hybrid theater. This experimental venture into virtual spaces strengthened his artistic voice, evident in pandemica works such as 'Dancing Through' (Allongé Film), 'Twilight LA' (NYSEC), 'Iolanthe' (NYGASP), and 'Noir Femme Avengers' (Harlem9).

As a performer, Logan is a company member with the

New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players, revitalizing the 19th-century operas with their soaring scores and searing political commentary through a retrodictive modern lens. Equally an advocate for new works, Logan premiered original pieces including 'Bran Castle' (Signature Theatre), 'Bach & Bleach' (LaMaMa), 'The Light Years' by The Debate Society (Powerhouse Theater/NYSAF), 'I Am Antigone' (Theater for a New City), and 'The Secret' (NYNW, Theatre Row). Other favorite productions in his acting career include 'On the Town' by Waxler Productions, 'West Side Story' at The Madison Theatre, and the US national tour of  'The Pirates of Penzance.'

Whether directing, singing, acting, dancing, or devising, Logan is endlessly enthused, if not entirely thrilled to share in the sheer brilliance and delightful whimsy that is creating and sharing art! Overwhelmingly honored & humbled, thank you for being here and sharing in this moment with me.
